Snow day and Updates

So since my last posting we did make it to the Dr for our sonogram and informed us that we will be having a little BOY! We are so excited, which we would have been regardless, but since we have two little girls we are thrilled for the new addition to be completely a new experience!

We finally got some snow here, now I am over it and so ready for Spring! The kids enjoyed their play time. Summer loved the snow...especially eating it:) Ava thought it was overrated while Brandon and Jenna emerged themselves in snow angels, igloos and another other objects they could create in the snow! Jenna also made a small snowman with our neighbor.

9 More Days!

January 19th we go to the Dr. for our next appointment. We also have our extensive ultrasound scheduled that day so if our little one cooperates we should be finding out if we should plan pink or blue! I have been feeling great, other than being exhausted easily and frequent headaches. Otherwise my belly is growing quite rapidly and I feel like I look further along than just over 16 weeks, that won't make me give up my ice cream! Although I have switched to mini cones and only do Edy's 1/2 fat:) Jenna regularly talks to my tummy and tells the baby how much she love him/her and loves to give it kisses which invites Ava to join in as well. Ava doesn't stop at my belly though and usually proceeds to lift Eric's shirt up and kiss as well, not understanding there is a baby Jenna is talking to she is more entertained by our belly buttons. Ava is obsessed with babies but is also very jealous of Jenna getting any attention without her so this should be pretty interesting come June.

Both girls have taken to calling me Amy, well Ava usually giggles out Mamie. They love the reaction and have made it a daily routine. Ava started this morning at breakfast "more pancake, Mamie"...my little stinkers!
We are still waiting on our car to be fixed after the accident but we have a loaner car from our wonderful neighbor (car is at the shop he works at) for free so we aren't complaining! After we lost two of our friends in recent fatal automobile accidents we are thankful Eric is safe and unharmed, we could care less about our car at this point. Since the Holidays things have been fairly quiet, we are anxiously awaiting Spring! Tired of cold and ice and wanting some sunshine and outside activity! Yesterday was beautiful but after a series of runny noses and the coughs I decided to keep the girls inside.

Today we baked for the first time in Jenna's Easy Bake Oven. We made some sugar cookies and of course added sprinkles. The girls had a blast and the cookies were pretty yummy!

Waiting for their cookies...

Big Girls' Room

Yesterday we set up the new twin beds and furniture in the new "big girls'" bedroom. I know we are jumping the gun with the new arrival not due for several months but we wanted to get the room set up and things moved around. Two of our bedrooms are very tiny but we managed to get the dressers, beds and Jenna's vanity all in. The room is full but in my opinion it doesn't have a crowded feel to it,still have to paint and do final details but I think it is just darling, . Both girls are thrilled and while Ava is drawn to laying with her sister versus her bed I think that will come in time. We still have Ava sleeping in the crib but her new big girl bed is ready and waiting for her once she becomes a big sister. It doesn't even seem possible that I am preparing to potty train and switch beds on Ava yet, where did that time go?!

Hush, the new beta fish, is displayed high away from little hands that like to see the "sishy"

This morning after Ava crawled in bed with Jenna to read her a book.

Just finished setting up, please excuse the shoe and sock between the beds.

Both girls are still engrossed in all the wonderful toys and gadgets they got for Christmas and we are on to orgainzing the play room, again, today making space and homes for the new toys.

Mommy and Daddy saved a gift each for the girls for New Year's Day presents to help wind down from the Holiday build up so here is Gabriella (High School Musical) and Ava with her carseat to match her new stroller.
